The Base Library provides a variety of educational and recreational support with more than 35,000 print books, ebooks, audio books, DVDs, and video games, as well as 125+ magazines, newspapers and journals. There is also a computer lab with internet access available.
The Library’s computer lab provides access to the commercial internet, along with CAC access to the AF Portal, the AKO and NKO. Additionally, there is a photocopier, a scanner, fax capabilities, and a typewriter for public use.
The Base Library has two separate areas for juvenile materials. Each children’s room has a multimedia computer loaded with grade appropriate educational games. A separate Teen Scene houses the Young Adult books and magazines.
The Base Library is staffed with information professionals using state of the art technology to give you immediate, global access to information, when and where you want it.

Individual person/family accounts can be set up to allow downloading/playing of full length audio/electronic books on a personal computer or ereader. They work for 10 days.

We now have Zinio, an online digital magazine database, available free to active duty personnel, dependents, retirees, DOD personnel and contractors. Patrons have access to over 600 titles to either read online or download to computers, tablets, ebook readers or mobile devices and read offline.
The computer lab consists of 17 desktop and 20 tablet computers. They are available on a first-come, first served basis; no reservations are taken. Each patron is limited to one hour if other patrons are waiting. All computer users must sign in and acknowledge they have read and understand the Computer and Internet Policies. Internet access via Comcast commercial network. Wireless and CAC access available. Email access is permitted using free internet based accounts from sites such as Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. Microsoft Office Suite 2007 is available on all computer lab PCs. Saving of personal data/documents/pictures is prohibited on all computer lab PCs and tablets.
Printing is free for the first five pages. Black and white printing is 10 cents per page, and color is 25 cents per page after that.
