Military Personnel Section (MPS) Structure.
MPS Customer Service
ID Cards by Appointment. Mon-Fri 0830-1530. Closed 4th Thursday of the month for training. Military Members in uniform have priority! Limited walk-in service available. For appointments visit: rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil.
Note 1: Installation Personnel Readiness (previously PRU) is aligned under the FSS Operations Officer (FSS/FSO). IPR handles all deployment related actions. These actions are no longer assigned to the MPS.
Customer Support Element is responsible for ID Cards/DEERS/RAPIDS updates, SGLI/FGLI, Citizenship, Leaveweb and INTRO (in-processing).
Force Management Element is responsible for Duty Status, Current Duty Information, Classifications, Evaluations, Awards & Decorations, Adverse Actions (UIFs, Control Roster, etc).
Career Development Element is responsible for Assignments, Retirements/Separations, Reenlistments, Extensions, Career Status Bonuses, Officer Promotions, Enlisted Promotions, Passports.
Human Resource Systems Element (PSM) manages the base-level personnel data systems, associated retrieval products, and maintains the central repository of system upgrades, manuals, etc.
