Join a rugged, off-road hike in the heart of the city that explores โwildโ Washington. It begins at the bustling commercial heart of D.C.โs Cleveland Park neighborhood, then quickly descends a small stream valley into the heart of Rock Creek Park itself. Thatโs when both the natural and historic features of this magnificent natural landscape will become evident, including infrastructure that predates the establishment of Rock Creek Park. This 3.5 – mile excursion requires you to wear hiking shoes. Be prepared to walk uphill and down, climb some stairs, and possibly cross a stream by stepping on rocks. The hike route will often be uneven and/or bumpy. Minimum Age is TBD. Walk departs from the Cleveland Park Metro stationโs Connecticut Avenue exit on the same side of the street as Target. *Transportation will NOT be included.

All patrons must register and pay at the Outdoor Recreation Bldg. 1235 Menoher No Later Than (ODR/ITT MUST secure a minimum number of participants two weeks before the trip date. There are limited spots on all trips. Space is on a first come, first serve basis.)
