Crabbing Charter

Bring home a Chesapeake Bay Crab Feast! Enjoy a great Chesapeake Bay tradition of catching or crabbing the Maryland Blue Crab with a Trot Line. Morning crabbing will be done with commercial style “Trotline” for the Maryland Blue Crab and dipping your Maryland Crab Feast. All Equipment, line, bait will be provided. Everyone gets involved with catching, from dipping the crabs off the trot line, culling or measuring the crabs. This trip includes Certified Charter Boat/Crabber, All Equipment, Take home your catch! (Your catch is equally distributed with each participant on the boat, up to 6 people). *This program is open to ages 7+.

Itinerary:

6:30am: Meet @ 1000 Fairwinds Drive Annapolis, MD 21409

7:00am-12:00pm: Crab Charter

 

Recommended items to bring:

  • Athletic Clothing- comfortable, flexible, and breathable (leggings, athletic shorts, joggers, t-shirts, tanks)
  • Photo ID
  • Small towel
  • Hair ties/clips
  • Light Snack
  • Cooler for your catch (Leave at your vehicle)

 

CAUTION:

Participation in this outdoor hiking experience involves inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, exposed roots and rocks, inclines, weather changes, insects, and physical exertion. Participants may experience fatigue, dehydration, slips, trips, or falls. While this is a guided hike, conditions on historic battlefields remain largely natural and undeveloped, which can present unexpected hazards. By choosing to participate, individuals acknowledge these risks and agree to take personal responsibility for their safety, including wearing appropriate footwear, staying hydrated, following ranger instructions, and pacing themselves according to their physical ability.

 

Eligibility includes all active-duty military, including reserves and national guard, DoD employees, their dependents and up to five additional non-military affiliated guests are welcome to participate in any Outdoor Adventure Program.
