Crabbing Charter

Bring home a Chesapeake Bay Crab Feast! Enjoy a great Chesapeake Bay tradition of catching or crabbing the Maryland Blue Crab with a Trot Line. Morning crabbing will be done with commercial style “Trotline” for the Maryland Blue Crab and dipping your Maryland Crab Feast. All Equipment, line, bait will be provided. Everyone gets involved with catching, from dipping the crabs off the trot line, culling or measuring the crabs. Minimum Age: 7 years. *Transportation will NOT be included.

Cost:

• Active Duty & Dependents: $87.00 per person
• Retiree, Veteran, & DoD Civilian: $90.00 per person

*To participate in an ODR/ITT activity, you must meet the following essential eligibility criteria:

• Understand risks: Understand the risks of the activity and review all pre-trip documents.
• Meet physical demands: Be able to meet the physical demands of the trip, including mileage, trail conditions, and sleeping arrangements.
• Withstand environmental factors: Be able to withstand environmental factors like temperature extremes, exposure to the sun, wind, precipitation, and water crossings.
• Communicate effectively: Be able to communicate effectively with guides and staff, especially in case of an emergency.
• Follow directions: Be able to understand and follow directions from guides to avoid hazards.
• Manage personal care: Be able to manage personal care independently or with some assistance.

All patrons must register and pay at the Outdoor Recreation Bldg. 1235 Menoher Dr NO LATER THAN the specified sign-up deadline listed above (ODR/ITT MUST secure a minimum number of participants two weeks before the trip date. There are limited spots on all trips. Space is on a first come, first serve basis.)
